Design strategy that goes beyond aesthetics

In just 3 weeks, I designed and built a custom LED screen with over 5,200 diodes embedded in duvetyn. Paired with webcams and a media server, it displayed brand content and live footage from the street and store interior, adding life to a unique space. The screen was a prominent feature in press releases for the store opening and it packed into a cardboard tube for easy shipping.
To elevate a response to an RFP from YETI asking for production quotes, I designed a fully functional, scale retail display that flat-packed into one of their coolers. This unexpected offering gave our client a strategic tool for negotiating floor space with major retailers and it helped secure a 2-year, $2.5M global production contract.
In a tight venue with a tighter timeline, pulling off a kinetic art installation with a $200K robotic arm, a 24-foot truss span, and a 20-foot logo suspended overhead meant rethinking everything. I led production design and installation strategy to make it all work, ensuring the tech could deliver a clean, powerful moment for event attendees.
In the early stages of a project to present the benefits of a training platform in development at Nike, as a quick way to grab our audience’s attention while communicating the need for the platform, I proposed a mixed sculptural installation concept that would immediately register as the chaotic search through conventional resources to find a personalized training plan.
